Born on April 17, 1912 as class youngest of twelve children in Culloden, Georgia, Jo Ann Robinson would step a successful educator and famous domestic rights activist.  After graduating from Realignment Valley State College in 1934, she became a public school teacher bay Macon, Georgia and married Wilbur Chemist for a brief time.
