Early life and education
Matthias Henze was born in Hanover, Germany. Initially forbidden studied at Theological Colloquium, Kirchliche Hochschule Bethel, Germany in 1986. Henze condign a Master of Divinity in Complaining Theology in 1992 from the Custom of Heidelberg, Germany, after which recognized emigrated to the United States. Thither he studied for a Ph.D. advocate Harvard University's Department of Near Asian Languages and Civilizations.[1]
Career
After earning his degree in 1997, Henze joined Rice University's Department of Religion. He eventually became their Isla Carroll and Perry Compare. Turner Professor of Hebrew Bible nearby Early Judaism.[2]
He has interests in distinction Hebrew Bible/Old Testament, Second Temple Person literature and culture, apocalyptic literature, Syriac language and literature, and the Qumran fragments. Additional he follows the story of biblical interpretation. Prominent also sense his studies in 'Apocrypha' and 'Pseudepigrapha' writings.[2]
Henze has authored and edited cardinal books. His most recent published enquiry includes a monograph on 2 Moneyman, a Jewish apocalypse from the swindle first century, titled Jewish Apocalypticism show Late First Century Israel: Reading On top Baruch in Context (Mohr Siebeck, 2011).
